As a government doctor serving in Uttarakhand’s public healthcare system for over two decades, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation since the launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission, Kayakalp, and NQAS initiatives. From significant improvements in hospital cleanliness and biomedical waste management to frontline healthcare workers becoming well-versed in established guidelines, the change has been truly inspiring. My sincere appreciation to NHSRC, NHM, and the teams behind NQAS and Kayakalp for driving this transformation. As a National NQAS Assessor, interacting with healthcare teams across states has been an invaluable learning experience—sharing best practices, adopting innovative approaches, and learning from one another. The way forward is cross-learning, not just compliance. More inter-state and regional exposure visits should be encouraged across sectors, enabling us to learn from India's diverse cultures, local innovations, and successful practices.

The shifting global landscape confirms that nations relying solely on external systems remain vulnerable. India’s 2030–2047 trajectory turns external constraints into strategic advantages, fulfilling the historic call to action: Born in India, serving India, and leading the world

*MERI SURAKSHA BAND - मेरी सुरक्षा बैंड* A School-Based Emergency Safety & Protection System for Girl Students Government Proposal Framework - *India *VISION* Every girl in India should be able to ask for help quickly, discreetly and reliably when she needs it most. *PROPOSED APPROACH* Student wearable + verified guardian + school safety focal point + authorised emergency escalation to 112. 1. Executive Summary Meri Suraksha Band is a school-level emergency communication and response system for girl students. It combines a discreet wearable device with verified parent/guardian contacts, a designated school safety focal point, and escalation to authorised emergency services. Purpose is to reduce time between emergency and first response. Core Proposition:* One student → one registered safety identity → one simple emergency action → a defined response chain. Trade credit is a major source of business working capital, particularly for MSMEs. Its foundation—trust, confidence and integrity in payment dealings—has been weakened by widespread delayed payments, locking up liquidity, disrupting supply chains and undermining credit efficiency. The fundamental gap is not merely lack of finance, but lack of visibility into payment behaviour. A GSTN-based B2B Payment Credit Score, enabled by a proposed Payment Registration Portal (PRP)—the payment-side counterpart of the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP)—can bridge this gap. By capturing buyer-wise payments against credit purchases, it can generate a CIBIL-like, GSTIN-level measure of payment discipline. Making payment behaviour visible and measurable would encourage timely payments through market reputation and informed credit decisions. It could improve MSME liquidity, enable cash-flow-based lending and receivables financing, support implementation of existing legal provisions, tax compliance.
