“No Shortcuts to Parenthood – Myth vs Reality.”
🔴 MYTH:
It shows wrong beliefs such as secret deals, illegal payments, skipping legal procedures, ignoring rules, and making decisions without considering the child’s rights and safety. These shortcuts can lead to unsafe and harmful outcomes.
🟢 REALITY:
It shows the correct path—responsible parenthood, following the legal adoption process, protecting children’s rights, and providing love, education, safety, and a stable family environment.
At the center, a happy family protects a heart carrying the message “Love • Care • Security • Future.” Legal symbols such as the law book, balance scale, gavel, and approved adoption document emphasize the importance of legal protection.

Child Adoption: Know the Facts, Follow the Right Path
Adoption is about giving a child a safe, loving and permanent family while protecting the child’s best interests. However, many myths and misunderstandings can make people confused about the adoption process. Through “Myth vs Reality,” this awareness campaign aims to separate common myths from the correct legal facts and help people understand that adoption should always be done through the proper legal process.
In India, people who wish to adopt legally should follow the process prescribed by CARA and register through the official adoption system. The adoption process includes eligibility checks, documentation, a home study and other legal steps designed to protect both the child and the prospective adoptive parents.
Most importantly, adoption is not simply about finding a child for a family—it is about finding a safe and suitable family for a child. The best interests, safety, welfare and permanency of the child are central to the adoption framework.
Spread awareness. Break the myths. Never adopt through shortcuts or illegal channels. Choose the legal process, follow the official guidelines, and help build a safer and brighter future for every child.

Adoption is a beautiful way of giving a child a family, love and a better future. But there are many wrong ideas about adoption that people still believe. Adoption is not about simply taking a child home. It is a proper legal process, and the child’s safety and happiness should always come first. Every child deserves to grow up in a caring and safe family. By knowing the facts and removing the myths, we can understand adoption in the right way. A family is not only connected by blood. It is built through love, care, trust and understanding. Every child deserves a place to call home.

I have designed an infographic that effectively addresses the criteria for your "Myth vs Reality" contest. Here is a description of the core concept:
Core Visual Metaphor: "The Bridge of Truth"
To fulfill the "Myth vs Reality" theme, I visualized the adoption process as a wide chasm. The left side (the dark chasm) represents the chaos of "Shortcuts," while the right side represents the safety of "Parenthood."
The Illegal Shortcut (The Danger): A fractured, unstable, and dark bridge, labeled "THE SHORTCUT" and "ILLEGAL ADOPTION." People are shown struggling on this bridge, and money is being exchanged under the table, representing the middlemen and risk.
The Legal Path (The Reality): A massive, stable, stone and steel bridge labeled "THE LEGAL PATH" and "ADOPTION VIA CARA." This path is brightly lit by truth and is supported by pillars of legal documents, representing the Juvenile Justice Act.
The Contrast: The infographic explicitly contrasts common myths ("Myth: Adoption is expensive and chaotic") with the correct legal facts ("Reality: Fees are fixed and process is structured by CARA").
Technical Details & Evaluation Alignment
This design was created to scoring high in the evaluation categories you provided:
Originality & Creativity: By visualizing the process as a massive infrastructure project ("The Bridge of Truth") rather than a simple split-screen, the concept offers a unique visual perspective.
Clarity & Simplicity: Complex legal steps are broken down into easy-to-read pillars and milestones along the legal path, simplifying the complex Juvenile Justice Act.
Relatability & Impact: The dark, unstable "shortcut" contrasted with the bright, stable "legal path" creates an immediate visual and emotional connection to the risks involved.
Alignment with the Theme: The core visual—the choice between a risky shortcut and a stable path—perfectly aligns with the message of "No Shortcuts to Parenthood—Only Legal Adoption."
I have integrated all the required Indian government logos (CARA, Ministry of Women and Child Development) and contextual details into a cohesive, impactful poster design that effectively simplifies the legal adoption framework.

Protecting child rights starts with choosing the right pathway. Direct adoptions through hospitals, middlemen, or informal arrangements violate legal safeguards and put children at risk. Let’s say NO to illegal adoption practices and advocate for legal adoption through the Mission Vatsalya Portal (CARINGS).

Infographic Description — “No Shortcuts to Parenthood: Myth vs Reality”
This infographic uses a clear “Myth vs Reality” visual format to transform complicated adoption laws into simple, relatable messages that can be understood at a glance. The red “Myth” side presents common misconceptions about adoption, while the green “Reality” side replaces each misconception with the correct legal and child-rights-focused information.
The infographic addresses six important myths: direct adoption through parents or middlemen, exchanging money or gifts for a child, the belief that legal adoption is unnecessarily complicated, restrictions on who can adopt, unequal rights of adopted children, and finding children through social media or informal online arrangements. Each myth is paired with a contrasting reality and supported by simple symbols such as prohibition signs, legal scales, documents, family figures, and official-process icons.
The centre of the infographic keeps the child at the heart of the message, while the lower section presents the legal adoption journey through Mission Vatsalya Portal, including registration, document verification, counselling and home study, child matching, legal approval, and post-adoption follow-up. This reinforces that adoption is not a shortcut to parenthood but a structured, transparent and child-centred legal process.
The strong headline “NO SHORTCUTS TO PARENTHOOD”, followed by “MYTH VS REALITY”, immediately communicates the purpose of the campaign. The red-to-green visual transition symbolises moving from misinformation and unsafe practices towards truth, legality, child protection and responsible parenthood.
Overall, the infographic is designed around the competition’s key objectives: original presentation, simplicity, factual awareness, relatability and social impact. Its central message is simple and memorable: “Create with purpose. Share the truth. Make an impact.”
