UMANG app is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) to drive Mobile Governance in India. With UMANG, the government aims to promote e-governance and adopt new-age governance policy as part of the government’s Digital India initiative.

In its perseverance to become AatmaNirbar (Self-sufficient), India has commenced its journey towards being a hub for Electronic System Design Manufacturing particularly in the semiconductor and display domain. The Government of India launched a comprehensive Semicon India Program with an outlay of Rs.76,000 crore (> USD 10 billion) whereby various schemes have been introduced for strengthening the semiconductor and display ecosystem in India

On Data Privacy Day 2022, DSCI in collaboration with MyGov organized an online Data Privacy Quiz contest to test Privacy knowledge in a fun way. The quiz started on 27 January 2022 and ended on 8 February 2022. With this year’s theme ‘Privacy Matters’, DSCI conducted various virtual activities which generated awareness around Data Privacy concepts, principles, and their importance in this digital age.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, mooted by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, 2015, celebrates India’s rich cultural diversity through mutual interaction and reciprocity between people of different States and UTs. To promote the cultural connect, a palpable need of diminishing the existing language barriers was felt.

Fortnight of Vigilance Awareness was observed from 27th October to 10th November 2020 in Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology with the theme ‘Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat’ (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). The theme puts the impetus on the thought of the underlying importance of constant vigilance by all citizens towards safeguarding integrity as a core value for the economic growth and development of the country.
