Ministry of Tourism has launched the Dekho Apna Desh initiative whereby citizens are encouraged to take a pledge to visit at least 15 places in India by 2022.This initiative helped us engage youth across different segments and increase overall awareness of Domestic tourism in India. We are thankful to all the citizens who participated in this initiative.

In order to encourage citizens to take the “Dekho Apna Desh” pledge, the Ministry of Tourism is pleased to announce prizes wherein 50 users would be picked up randomly through the system out of every 10,000 citizens who take the pledge will be presented with token merchandise branded with Incredible India. The citizens who have taken the pledge would be selected randomly through the system.

The Ministry of Tourism is pleased to declare the winners of Paryatan Parv Quiz 2019 organized in order to create interest and awareness amongst the general public on various tourist destinations and encourage them to visit different tourist destinations in Incredible India. The quiz questions were about India in general with an emphasis on Tourism, Culture and History. The Quiz Competition was organized with effect from 4th to 30th October 2019 on the MyGov Platform. Total 33902 entries were received in the Quiz Competition.

The tinkling sound of thousands of bells make up for the ambience of the Tilinga Mandir, situated at Bordubi, at about 7 km away from Tinsukia town. Away from the hustle bustle of the town, the temple hosts a serene atmosphere amid long stretches of lush green tea gardens towards the north bank of Brahmaputra. Tilinga Mandir literally means the bell temple. Due to its peaceful surroundings and strong religious beliefs associated with it, the temple is a popular spot that attracts hordes of people.

Namphake, located in Dibrugarh district of Assam, is a picturesque hamlet exuding a very archaic charm. The calm waters of Buridihing river passes through the heart of the pristine village making Namphake a serene destination for the tourists. The orange hues of the evening Sun reflected on the river bed is a sight to behold. Traditional chang-ghars, with roofs made of dry toko leaves, adorns the entire village.
