In January, 2024; Jal Jeevan Mission under Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti released a Quiz in collaboration with MyGov, by the name “Har Ghar Jal Quiz: Jal Ka Gyan Ab Hua Aasan” with an aim to educate participants about the various aspects of Jal Jeevan Mission, importance of judicious use of water, water quality, progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission, and related matters. The quiz was open for all Indian Citizens above 14 years of age from 23rd January, 2024 to 29th February, 2024. A prize of INR 2,000/- was announced for top 1,500 participants.

Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation in collaboration with MyGov invited citizens to participate in a task where to share global best practices adopted to clean big rivers across the world.

On the occasion of Ganga Vriksharopan Saptah, the Namami Gange Program planted approximately 1 crore plants in five states along the course of river Ganga – Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand.

The Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (WR, RD and GR), is responsible for the conservation, management and development of water as a national resource; overall national perspective of water planning and coordination about diverse uses of water; general policy, technical assistance, research and development, training and matters relating to irrigation and multi-purpose projects, groundwater management; conjunctive use of surface and groundwater, command area development, flood management including drainage, flood-proofing, water logging, sea erosion and dam safety.

Success Story Contest on Water Conservation was organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India in collaboration with MyGov India to strengthen awareness around water conservation and promote rainwater harvesting and water-positive practices.
