INTERACT WITH NITI AAYOG ON THE UNION BUDGET, 2016: #AskNITI
The premier think-tank of the Government of India, NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) provides crucial directional and policy support to the Centre as well as State governments. On the release of the Union Budget 2016, NITI is pleased to announce that we will interact directly with citizens of the country.
The live interactions with public will take place through MyGov Talks in collaboration with Google India, on March 2nd and 3rd, 2016.
On March 2nd at 3:30 pm, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman, and noted economist, Dr. Arvind Panagariya, will unfold the many intricacies of the Union Budget and explicate its real impact on various crucial sectors of the economy.
This is the first of its kind, one-on-one interaction of NITI’s experts with the public on the Budget, and will focus on what the budget means to the common man. The live talks have been scheduled soon after the Budget release, so that experts heading the policy think tank of India can elucidate to people the its provisions, along with the short and long-term possibilities and challenges it poses for India.
Besides providing an exclusive, expert perspective on the Union Budget, Dr. Panagariya will also take questions directly from viewers. Questions may be posed in advance, and through the duration of the talks on both days, also via NITI Aayog’s Twitter and Facebook page. The talks can also be accessed on the NITI Aayog website, www.niti.gov.in.
Sir, the taxpayers who indirectly funds the public research (public funded research) have to pay twice. Once for the research to happen and again to pay for accessing the same. Why cannot have have National Policy on Open Access and make all the public funded research outputs publicly available. #openaccess
Dear Sir thnks alot to come in front to resolve our queries.I am about to set up a agaratti manufacturing unit.For the same,my company name is approved bt registration isnt done yet.plz help me if i get my registration done on/after April 1st,then what would be the relieves of taxes for a new agarbatti manufacturing start ups? Plz advice for service tax levied on start up which will be in existence after 1st april.

I find there is a need for clarification on the definition of Startup in the recent Budget 2016 as compared to the DIPP notification that followed after the Startup India campaign.
While the Startup India campaign and the DIPP notifications that followed mentioned that any company not older than 5 years from the incorporation date will qualify as a start up the Budget 2016 defines startup as companies setup during April 2016 to March 2019.
Companies setup in Feb 16 and Mar 16 do not qualify

Now a days the intellectual media is hell bent in damaging the image of the government. Now one such issue is the taxation on EPF. Can you please give clarity on this, how this affects middle class men and what are the steps we need to take to avoid this taxation? Things are unclear for common man like us on EPF taxation that is proposed in this budget.
Can I also request you to publish this answer in any website so that we can access the contents later and read in TEXT?

इस तरह के छोटे छोटे प्रयासों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कोई डिपार्टमेंट होना चाहिए जो आम लोगों के लिए आसानी से पहुंच में हो| इन छोटे छोटे प्रयासों से बड़ा बदलाव आ सकता है और लोगों को महँगी सब्जियों और महँगी बिजली से भी छुटकारा मिल सकता है और सरकार का भी काम आसान हो जाएगा| जनता आत्मनिर्भर बनेगी|

Milk price is very high in India because of monopolistic practice of the dairy and co.op milk societies. Please introduce alternate mechanism for direct trade of milk products. Milk testing, chilling and distribution network requires skilled and professional participants. Establish Rural Milk Collection Centers which have at least two day shelf life capacity to store the milk they collected. Milk Pool Management linked with direct household supply is the key to success this system.
किसानों के लिए काम आन्दोलन स्तर पे किये जाने चाहिए| अपनी पूरी ताकत झोंक कर इसको एक बहुत बड़ा लाभदायक व्यवसाय में बदला जा सकता है जो देश का भाग्य बदल सकता है| गाय को मारने के बजाय उससे कई प्रकार से लाभ लिए जा सकते हैं जो की सर्वविदित हैं| इसलिए सबसे पहले गौहत्या बंद करवाकर किसानों के लिए उसके उपयोग सिनिषित किये जाएँ| सरकार को किसानों के काम एक तय समय में करने चाहिए| एक मात्र यही सबसे बड़ा विकल्प है हमारे पास जिससे पैसा पेड़ पे उगाया जा सकता है|
मेरा सुझाव ये हैं की एलपीजी के पीछे भागने के बजाय गाँव गाँव में बायोगैस प्लांट से सप्लाई दी जाए ताकि गाँव स्वतंत्र रूप से सक्षम बने और जो कचरा बचे उसको खेती में काम ले ताकि आर्गेनिक खेती भी की जा सके और इसका सीधा फायदा किसानों को होगा| वो आत्मनिर्भर बनेंगे और अर्थव्यवस्था को गति देंगे और इससे सरकार पर भी आर्थिक बोझ घटेगा और किसान विरोधी छवि भी ख़त्म होगी| गौमूत्र से पेस्टीसाइड्स बनाना, गोबर खाद,गोबर गैस आदि की जानकारी किसानों को एक आन्दोलन स्तर पे देनी चाहिए|
