Chhattisgarh is situated in the East Central side of India. After the formation of new state in the year 2000, urbanization gripped up very fast and the network of roads, spaces required for modern Hi-Tech infrastructure as well as spaces from the point of administrative aspects came into scarcity. Especially in Raipur where there is a huge hub of steel industry as well as agricultural produce market. For Chhattisgarh state, Raipur has become the biggest city having multiple face values. Naya Raipur has been developed as a Greenfield capital city at a distance of 17 kilometers from the existing Raipur city. This new capital city is planned with a view to decongest the existing city and provide new growth avenues. Naya Raipur has been shortlisted as an aspirant in the final list of smart cities challenge by Ministry of Urban Development. Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) is preparing a Smart City Proposal (SCP) that will include smart city solutions and an outline of the consultations held with the city residents and other stakeholders. Citizens may suggest some frugal and innovative ideas for the overall transformation of the city. The residents may post their views pertaining to various city services such as water supply, electricity supply, transport, health and educational facilities and city surveillance among others. Residents are encouraged to write the pain areas of the city as well as improvements they’d like to see for making Naya Raipur a model smart city. This discussion is crucial for Naya Raipur to win this 100 Smart City Challenge. Keeping in view for citizens to understand the Smart Cities Proposal preparation process a MyGov talk has been organized by Naya Raipur Development Authority which will not only sensitize citizens about the salient features of Smart City, but also provide them an opportunity to identify key issues and later address it to the city leaders and administration. Details of the talk are as follows: Name of Speaker -: Shri. Rajat Kumar (IAS), CEO, NRDA Venue -: CEO Office, NRDA, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh Date & Time -: 11th Jan 2017: 3 pm to 4 pm
