Citizen engagement is a crucial step in any smart city challenge. A city to become smart must always listen and provide solutions according to the need of this people. Bidhannagar has been actively engaging in both online and offline citizen engagement by the use of:
• Survey Forms
• Social Media Platforms (Facebook/Twitter)
• Print Media
• Advertisements
Due to some moral obligation towards the city, there was a slight delay in the citizen engagement phase. Hence, a webinar is being conducted to enlighten the city about the steps being taken by BMC for citizen engagement.
Through this, we hope to generate a large scale response from the people to highlight the key issues that need to be addressed within the city. The vibrant citizens of Bidhannagar are also requested to provide their valuable input in suggesting smart solutions for the issues. The citizens and various stakeholders of Bidhannagar is its biggest strength. Let’s participate to make this mission inclusive and meaningful for every common man, every citizen and transform this vision of smart city into realty.
