The National Archives of India is the repository of the non-current records of the Government of India and is holding them in trust for the use of administrators and scholars. It is an Attached Office of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
It was set up on 11 March 1891 in Calcutta (Kolkata) as the Imperial Record Department. With the subsequent transfer of the National Capital from Calcutta to New Delhi in 1911, it was shifted to its present building at the crossing of Janpath and Rajpathin 1926.

Logo in Adobe Illustrator CS6. In this logo old paper type image is used to show
that these are old records of great persons of India.logo also gives a look
of pen holder that means National Archives of India is a place where is pen
(writings) of great Indians was kept safely.
Main quality of this logo is that, it is Simple, and neat.
The monochromatic version of the logo is as effective as polychromatic.
And the motto says that:- Old knowledge is very useful for our nation.
Chalo Aaj ko Itihaas se Ru-ba-ru karaein . .
The motto is very simple and straight is to save and showcase every single signs of history . So by that both the modern world along with the history can walk together and for ever .
I made this very simple emblem by using a pillar, indian nations emblem and Ashok chakra . I think the emblem should be simple sober and pretty Indian with no single religious touch to hurt sentiments.

We'll be remembered more for what we destroy than what we create
If you hear the past speaking to you, feel it tugging at your back and running its fingers up your spine, the best thing to do—the only thing—is run
The mistry of history is to conserve it through docummentry.
Please find the emblem attached, The motto that goes with this logo is "Let's Preserve"
The logo contains three rectangles symbolizing pages, this kind of design is commonly used on computer systems to symbolize archives and is easily recognizable. The emblem does not contain any colors so that it looks equally good in monochrome print.
