The concept behind this Emblem is the word ‘Preservation’ and ‘Facilitation’ which National
Archives of India is doing since 1891, it keeps the records of all the valuable news, documents,
manuscripts, and many precious piece of information under one umbrella and open the doors of
learning and knowledge for every one to refer those and get benefited.

So the whole and sole idea was to bring all those element which National Archives of India do
under a simplified iconic forms and I created

motto is "protect and preserve" -two very essential steps to be done with archives. In the logo some valuable records are shown and the chakra is given on it to show they belong to India and that they are important. At the bottom in tri colour humans are shown in such a way that it seems like they are holding and protecting the documents. Tri colour shows the unity of Indians and their responsibility in protecting and preserving them.
