The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

India can progress further/faster only when people share the information/knowledge and help each other to reach their goal. Use the digital world to educate ourselves, to educate others and for the betterment of the society. Positive thinking will always end up with good progress. Sab ka saath Sab ka vikaas.

Digital India logo is designed based on the concept from the National Flag of India. The Vertical Lines in the logo are considered as “1” (one) and the circles are considered as “0” (zero). As 1 and 0 are to represent digital symbols. Colors used: Saffron, White, Blue and Green (Colors from the National Flag of India.) National Flag of India visible on rotating the logo at 90 degree.
