The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Outermost circles show the emblem of India, our ‘Tiranga’.In its white colored circle a rotating ‘Ashok Chakra’ is shown which denotes that India is moving forward with digitization.In innermost circle a logic gate digital circuit & segment display digits are shown.Red dots denote the input & output of digital signals through integrated digital gate circuits.Digital numbers show segment display decoder which play an important role in decoding the digital signals .
Inspired by the pointer(a hand shaped cursor) the logo design shows the all round development of India, transforming it into Digital India.Its four hands symbolizes all round digitization of India.
