The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Outermost circles show the emblem of India, our ‘Tiranga’.In its white colored circle a rotating ‘Ashok Chakra’ is shown which denotes that India is moving forward with digitization.In innermost circle a logic gate digital circuit & segment display digits are shown.Red dots denote the input & output of digital signals through integrated digital gate circuits.Digital numbers show segment display decoder which play an important role in decoding the digital signals .

Inspired by the pointer(a hand shaped cursor) the logo design shows the all round development of India, transforming it into Digital India.Its four hands symbolizes all round digitization of India.

Digital India logo is designed based on the concept of analog (waves) and digital symbols (0 & 1) together with the Ashoka Chakra near it, Representing India. Colors used: Saffron, White, Blue and Green (Colors from the National Flag of India.) Designed by Akshay Viswanathan.
