The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Digital India Logo
LOGO 1 :- The Tri colour rings represent the 3 key areas.AABHA depicts "Ankiya Bharat ",AABHA also refers to glow of DIGITAL INDIA .The AABHA word in hindi also reflects the letters "DI" referring to Digital India. LOGO 2 :- The core of the design depicts digitalization and the arrows depict the connectivity and services throughout the country. " Viswa Ankiya Bharat " signifies the competance of our country in the world in digitalization.
Here is my submission for the logo. The concept denotes a lean and progressive digital transformation of India. Part of the logo contains a QR code. One has to scan the QR code to access a common portal on their smart phone, and start consuming the services being offered. A sample envelop is shown where the logo is used and instructions to scan a portion of it to get started.

1. The hexagonal network represents the Information technology linking the whole country under the banner of the indian flag imparting knowledge and power to all its citizens.
2. The circuit lines above and below the chakra represents the electronic age and its indigenous advancement the country has made
3. The word ‘digital india’ is firmly connected to each other. This represents its easy access as the name implies to the digital infrastructures.
