The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Power ON a Digital India. Empower Indians in the digital age. For a glowing, progressive nation. Every digital device today, has a power-on symbol, in hardware or software. It is understood visually in all cultures and languages in India. Associate that symbol at a personal level with a digital India. This logo design is scalable, fits a square, is modern.
