Cleaning Ganga Ji is not an insurmountable problem, Till Rudraprayag, Ganga is relatively unpolluted, we need to take care beyond and in Haridwar where the contamination starts at massive scale. Dividing the length into parts each section should be responsibility of the District and civil society. Awareness programs and equipping the area with sewage/effluent management will take care of major contaminants.

It is unsafe to develop infrastructure at Gangotri & Gaumukh. Existing unsafe infrastructure be removed. Large congregations should be banned here. Improve road up to Harsil, slopes be stabilised, replacement & alternate bridges be catered in location to restore communications. Medical infrastructure, communication hub & shelters (arctic tents camps) be developed around Harsil. Stocks of rations, medicines, fodder be maintained. Additional helipads & regular helicopter service are essential.

Cleaning Ganga is very very complex and has to be done in phased manner and at various locations and so many agencies are involved. We need a seperate Ganga Cleaning authority to make a project report of the complete project and then implement it in the targeted time. It will take 10-20 years or more to complete with total budget going to 25k crores to may be 75k crores or more. just by writing 4 lines here is not going to solve it, it is not as easy as cleaning one's house

Main problame for pollution od Ganga is less water flow due to Dam. We need to utlize Ganga water only for electriciy and sent it water back into river. If water flow speedly then river clean it self. Need to sent full water flow. Thanks
