The Government of India has been observing Rashtriya Ekta Diwas every year on October 31 to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of United India. Every year, a national-level event is organized at Ekta Nagar featuring the Ekta Parade (with participation from State Police Forces and Central Armed Police Forces), cultural programs, display events, tableaux presentations, school bands, etc.

Tableaux constitute an integral part of the celebrations, showcasing India’s shared identity and rich cultural diversity while reflecting the nation’s commitment to unity, integrity, and security. This year, it has been decided to directly involve students from across the country in conceptualising/designing the Tableaux for the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations.

The Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with MyGov has invited Creative Ideas/concept from school, college, and university students for designing the tableaux to be showcased during the Rashtriya Ekta Parade–2026 at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.

      Theme
The central theme for this year is ‘Vande Mataram’. Some illustrative sub-themes on which students may submit their ideas/concepts are as follows:
      i. Vande Mataram – The nation is not merely land but our mother; serving her is the highest duty.
ii. Sujalam – Water is the foundation of life, prosperity, and civilisation.

vii. Phulla Kusumita Drumadala Shobhini – Conservation of nature is preservation of the future.
viii. Suhasinim – The smile on every face is the true progress of the nation.
ix. Sumadhura Bhashini – Many languages, many cultures – One India.
      x. Sukhadam Varadam – India as a guide in knowledge, innovation, and humanity.
xi. Sangachchhadhwam – Moving forward together: helping one another, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing positively to the nation.
xii. Prakriti-Vandana – Reverence for Mother Earth: Expressing love for the nation by protecting nature, forests, rivers, and wildlife.
xiii. Samagrata – Wholeness or Integrity: All parts of India coming together to form a great nation.
xiv. Vikas – Progress: How India is building a bright future through new inventions, startups, and its rich culture.
xv. Sahastra – Cultural Diversity: The cultural diversity showcasing our various dances, languages, festivals, and traditions that unite us all.
xvi. Shakti-Sutra – Source of Strength: Ideas related to our brave soldiers protecting the borders and women leading the nation's progress.
xvii. Other relevant sub-themes related to Vande Mataram may also be proposed.
