Know Your Panchayat’s Score on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI)

The Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) is an assessment framework developed by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, to assess the progress and performance of Gram Panchayats across key development parameters. It promotes awareness, transparency and informed citizen participation in grassroots development. Citizens can visit the PAI Portal to view their Gram Panchayat’s scorecard, understand its performance across different thematic areas, and become more aware of the development initiatives and progress of their Panchayat.

The PAI assesses Gram Panchayats across the following 9 themes:

1. Poverty Free and Enhanced Livelihoods Panchayat
2. Healthy Panchayat
3. Child-Friendly Panchayat
4. Water Sufficient Panchayat
5. Clean and Green Panchayat
6. Panchayat with Self-Sufficient Infrastructure
7. Socially Just and Socially Secured Panchayat
8. Panchayat with Good Governance
9. Women-Friendly Panchayat
