Pune smart city development corporation Ltd. invites all the citizens to participate in the international ideas competition to “Reimagine Sinhgad Road” in Pune city.

The competition aspires to seek citizen feedback and active involvement in the design of streets as public spaces thereby generating a broad consensus and community pride.

‘Make your cities Smart’ is an important step towards engagement of citizens in deciding and having a say in what their city, public spaces and streets need to be. The smart city initiative cannot succeed without the active involvement and engagement of its citizens.

Leveraging its rich cultural and natural heritage, strong human capital and strong business environment as key strengths, Pune aspires to become the most liveable City in India by solving its core infrastructure issues in a “future proof” way and by making its neighbourhood beautiful, clean, green and liveable. The Competition is guided and underpinned by these very core principles.

This is an opportunity to send us your creative ideas from citizens’ point of view and tell us why you would like them to be implemented and more importantly share your own vision for your city. Up to three winning submissions will be rewarded with the cash prize and the ideas will be considered for implementation.

In terms of smart city like Pune as a IT hub currently called, traffic is main problem and if we have called SMART then traffic has to be managed smartly. These days we have much easy access to cell phones & GPRS system which can be used smartly means if some one is traveling via old mumbai-pune highway then he can see on which roads heavy traffic is there via cell phone apps/GPRS/etc and that route can be avoid even RTO can be aligned similar way, there are systems which are currently in use

1) Electricity bills, Other bills, Tax, other taxes can be paid via e system or any apps to avoid long queue in govt department.
2) without metro smart city cannot be considered so metro project should be taken as serious & should start an immediate effect.
3) Without beautiful trees smart city cannot be possible hence this has to take seriously.
4) Every traffic police should be under camera or everyone has to have small camera to be holded with him (in police dress) so you may monitor them.

1) Internal city roads should be having well set up like US UK or Gulf
2) Roads should have small space to take right/left for vehicles which i saw in Dubai to avoid traffic signals & massiv traffic.
3) 100 % street light should be allocated & greenery should be placed.
4) every signal should have speed limit camera to avoid accidents & if anyone doing rash driving then cameras shoul be smart to catch the people & to give him fine.
4) all the vehicles should not be renewed until fines cleard

Sinhgad road in Pune is a very busy road and we need to address the traffic on the road with the proper development of the infrastructure for public transport. For public transport, I have filed one Patent "GRAVITY BASED CITY TRANSPORT SYSTEM" This kind of transport utilizes the gravity as an energy. Theoretically, the energy consumed is developed by this kind of arrangement which can be used to operate the battery operated buses on the slanted track as attached with this proposal.
