The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites school students, college students, youth, and citizens across India to participate in the "My Income Tax – My Pride Poster & Painting Competition", being organized as part of the celebrations of the 167th Income Tax Day.
The competition aims to encourage creative expression on the role of taxation and taxpayers in nation-building, public welfare, infrastructure development, and economic progress. Through paintings, posters, and hand-drawn sketches, participants are invited to artistically showcase how responsible taxation contributes to building a stronger, self-reliant, and developed India.
Participants are encouraged to creatively depict how tax contributions support public services, quality education, healthcare, Digital India initiatives, modern infrastructure, social welfare programmes, economic growth, and the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The competition seeks to promote greater awareness and appreciation of the positive impact that every taxpayer makes towards the nation's development.
Through colours, creativity, and artistic imagination, participants can present powerful visual messages highlighting the importance of responsible taxation, financial responsibility, transparent governance, and inclusive national development. The competition provides a unique platform for young minds to express their ideas while celebrating the contribution of taxpayers towards India's progress.
