>Digitization of traffic control boxes and connected them in real time through technology & data mapping systems with Main Traffic control room is a Must. > Lastly STRONG IMPLEMENTATION & Monitoring of Traffic rules with 1-2 police standing guard at each blocks/ major roads like in Hong Kong would ensure smooth follow of traffic. Hong Kong made a huge Impact on me in terms of Traffic Management. Its Model is a great study. 3/3 n=3

> Footpaths need to be widened and food hawkers need to instructed keep space for Walking which is purpose of footpath. >Hong Kong displays a brilliant coordinated system of traffic management using push button signal crossings at block intervals. This is a MAJOR factor is reducing commotion, traffic accidents & time management. >Beautiful overhead bridges (going upward with escalator)not only beautify but also help reducing pedestrian traffic. 2/n

One of the best Traffic managements I have personally come across is that of Hong Kong when I visited there last year. Hence highlighting examples which can be adopted or solutions which can be modelled upon same: >Buses - modernized - always follow the extreme left lane stopping at designated stops. > Cars follow middle and right lane. > Need of a separate bicycle lane. Best example is that of Chicago. Cordoned off from main road. 1/n

Answer1: a) Use feedback based smart traffic signal. b) Allot a unique RF id to all vehicles and on street pole install a RF tracker by which we can estimate the vehicle density on the particular lane. c) Depending on vehicle density on all lanes, timing of red/green signal on next chauraha (intersection) will be adjusted with the help of pre-programmed system. d)Allot priority RF ID to important vehicles like Ambulance, police van, fire brigade etc so that they access traffic free road.

1. Real time traffic jams information on mobiles for specific route by just registering into a new city traffic status software. 2. Introducing new bus stations on particular route to avoid traffic congestion. Instead of 1 big bus station small stations should be made and same applies to railway station as well. 3. Separate lanes for auto rickshaws to avoid traffic congestion so that people can reach station in minimum time. 4. Compulsion to carry atleast 2 person on two and four wheeler.
