How can the latest advances in digital technologies, including use of mobile phones, big data analytics and other information technology solutions be deployed in Smart Cities. The entries may be in descriptive answer types and may use pictures or videos to explain the answers better.
All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
Questions
1. List three municipal services that can be improved with the use of a mobile phone.
2. Describe 3 aspects of your daily life that have improved with the use of the mobile phone.
3. Suggest 5 ways in which the use of big data can make Indian cities into smart cities.
4. Mention 3 new ways that information technology can improve Governance.
5. How can access to information and data make our public spaces safe and secure?
Entry Deadline
• Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015.
Evaluation
The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:
• Do-ability (50%)
• Innovation (50%)
Award
Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts:
Rs. 40,000 - First Prize
Rs. 25,000 - Second Prize

The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot

• All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
• The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only.
• The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less.

Mention 3 new ways that information technology can improve Governance. 1. TIME SHEET FOR ELECTED MEMBERS Develop an application that would make concerned elected members of Municipalities to update 3 tasks that have been carried out on working days . This helps in increase of transparency, deepening democracy , increased voice to citizen . This works just like a time sheet in a private industry . Making them accountable on daily basis increases their responsibility.

Digitisation of birth , death certificate , caste cirtificate, income certificate and option to have such certificates online . 2 . Message from municipal party to every registered phone number on the quality of air ( air quality index ) , quality of water ( amount of flouride etc ) , any diseases on verge of outbreak etc . This message needs to be updated every month .

Birth and death certificate, trade license, utility payments 2. taxi service, utility bill payment, movies / events 3. traffic congestion, parking availability, road accidents, water loss, emergency service 4.a developing city geo-spatial database which can be used for various purpose 4.b city dashboard to provide key information of city and its services 4.c e-governance solutions like certificates, licenses and permits 5. Provide information on hazards and crime for unsafe locations

#MeraShaharMeraSapna,#SmartCities Using Big Data,We can make smart parking management for Smart city.Where All parking areas in the city with number of vacant space should be stored in server which will be continuously updated time by time.Government should provide mobile application to user which can track current position of the people using gps and can find nearby parking area with vacant space for parking and guide people to park vehicle at proper place.

Question 5: 1. Grievance Redressal: All data submitted on grievances (sorted by pincode, city, state, region) to be made available. Status of the grievance, authority on whom it is pending & expected completion date to be shared. Higher the visibility, greater the incentive for a citizen to share grievances and also for authorities to act on them in a timely manner 2. Commercial Driver details: Criminal history of any commercial driver to be made track-able through IT portals.

Question 4: 1.Digital Land Records: Eliminates fraudulent land occupation, construction & ownership 2.Digital Health Library: Aggregation of local level data from hospitals/diagnostic centers to predict/prevent outbreak of diseases and also identify specific problems in an area e.g. high lead in blood samples in a particular region 3.Mandatory disclosure of collections at toll plazas: Display of amount collected till data vs. amount pending at each toll plaza to increase accountability

Question 3: 1,2.Travel: Evaluate daily traffic patterns (Google maps, Location data) to estimate need for transport systems e.g. where should a flyover be built, Metro expansion 2,4.Healthcare: Local level data aggregation from hospitals/ diagnostic centers to predict/ prevent disease outbreaks e.g. malaria, identify heavy metal presence in water 5.Education: Age based census to predict demand for schools/ colleges in a region, and build infrastructure accordingly

Why not we give unique no to evry citizen as a evry emplyee have in any company. And all the data has been covered under that every citizen in smart city knws a unique no not by his cultre or cast. And certain employee has reporting hr so same thing in smart city every citizen has certain goverment employee which kept the record. Smart city have own data centre. So all the smart city data centre exchange their data if Any thing happend wrong.
