Most governance services involves a lot of paper work. Recently the government has approved self-attestation for the documents. To harness digital advantages and reduce paper usage, a secure digital signature can be implemented for self-attestation. The applicant can digitally sign the document online himself and this process can eliminate the tedious need to print out the document, sign on the document and scan the document again before uploading them.
