How can the latest advances in digital technologies, including use of mobile phones, big data analytics and other information technology solutions be deployed in Smart Cities. The entries may be in descriptive answer types and may use pictures or videos to explain the answers better.
All questions in this category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
Questions
1. List three municipal services that can be improved with the use of a mobile phone.
2. Describe 3 aspects of your daily life that have improved with the use of the mobile phone.
3. Suggest 5 ways in which the use of big data can make Indian cities into smart cities.
4. Mention 3 new ways that information technology can improve Governance.
5. How can access to information and data make our public spaces safe and secure?
Entry Deadline
• Entries may be submitted online on the mygov.in portal latest by 23.59 hours (11.59 pm) on Saturday, 20th June 2015.
Evaluation
The submissions will be evaluated on the following criteria:
• Do-ability (50%)
• Innovation (50%)
Award
Two winners in each category will be awarded a citation from the Prime Minister at the Smart City Mission Launch on June 25th, 2015 at VigyanBhavan, New Delhi, along witha cash prize of the following amounts:
Rs. 40,000 - First Prize
Rs. 25,000 - Second Prize

The winning ideas would be shared with the 100 SmartCities as potentiallyimplementablesolutions and will be considered for pilot

• All questions in a particular category must be answered to be considered as a complete submission and to be eligible for short-listing.
• The participants(s) entries will be judged for each category independently and on merit. In case of short listing in more than one category, a participant will receive prize money for one category only.
• The length of each answer is limited to 250 words or less.

By use of Information Security using IPSec and use Authentication Mechanism. We can do following: 1) Install massive and scalable intelligent systems to manage mass transportation in real time. 2) Connect offices digitally for efficient management of resources 3) Provide real-time access to bin capacity data to ensure that trash is collected at the right time. 4) Use real-time data so that hospitals can better track critical equipment, patient flow and manage patient beds to reduce wait times. 5) Simpler payment processes to complete transactions with card payments

ANTI WALL DEFACEMENT SWACHTA APP - mobile phone based tracking system, picture (Unauthorised advertisement defacing public property) with GPS location, timestamp, sent in real time to a cloud to CITY LAW INTERNS (CLI) FORUM, to send Legal Notice to defacing advt. The defacer is reprimanded by consumer court, fined and legal cost is reimbursed to the CLI-FORUM. This will aid CITIZENS EXTENDED PARTICIPATION in URBAN GOVERNANCE.

#SmartCities (1) Water supply dates to the respective streets are written in street notice boards. This message could be sent via mobile. The ward members names and contact details should be messaged to the corresponding ward people so that they could contact their representatives at times of crisis.The name and contact details of the respective people who cleans the streets could be shared with the people via messages.Special mobiles with auto recording feature will help track the calls to them
