Providing a digital identity to all individuals is crucial to facilitate electronic authentication for delivery of online public services. The digital identity must be unique, lifelong, online and authenticable. The digital identity should be easily verifiable in an online and cost-effective way. Aadhaar provides such a digital identity that also serves as a proof of identity and address for individuals. If such a digital identity could be linked to mobile phones in a secure manner, it would make the task of online authentication much easier at the level of the individual. As the penetration of mobile phones is high, this digital identity will facilitate the delivery of online services more easily.

\

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on how mobile phones and digital identity could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities. The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, etc. You can upload your ideas in doc or pdf format.

Digital is key word of future it is very easy to connect to mobile as one card identity so if we link with smart card as one card which have complete information from birth to date with thumb or palm impression it will more suitable as photo I'd as card and confirm by thumb or palms so no duplication and for smart card no mobile phone require it will work as on ATM so no individual investment as well network requirement and total control of authority it will beneficial in more ways from revenue

mobile phones mostly the smart phones may be used as digital identity by creating app linked with adhar or voter ID or Ration card of the person. or a chip can be embeded in the smart phones or by making an extra slot for the insertion of the chip containing all the information required as the SD cards, which can be inserted when needed to gain the information of the person or may be deactivated if its use is not there for the time being.

Mobile itself doesn't authenticate you. It needs something like Apples's touch ID security and NFC or DLNCA. Use finger print scanners to Identity. Mobile as an identity should only be an option.

Mobile phone is the best way for digital identity because each mobile phone there is own IMEI no. and its very good for tracking and finding phone if its going missed.as per my opinion during purchage of phone submite the details with identity along with adress like Sim card. if suppose that phone is stolen or missed then you can easily find it.right now smart phone or android phone is very cheaper and every one afford it.On more suggestion is to buy the smart phone for india made only
