The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens. Please formulate your vision statement for Pasighat (preferably in less than 50 words) and submit on www.mygov.in

The prize money for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position is Rs. 11000, Rs.7000 and Rs.5000 respectively.

The last date to submit your entries is 12th November, 2015.

Development in education and sports field are the primary needs of the city more schools and college should be establish for better and quality education for better and quality pasighat besides game and sports needs to be emphasized from every possibilities for many capable youths lies in pasighat itself to represent the same city or state or nation in its field.

The growing population in pasighat has put tremendous pressure in water supply and water management the exercise to set standards for services water supply should be improve. The ministry of Urban development, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh must recommended 24x7 water supply as a norm for all citizens of Pasighat

MY VISION FOR SMART CITY ARE: 1.Multi level parking facility should me made in campus area as well as in corporation area. 2.All street light should be made up of solar symtem only. 3.Eletricity meters in every house should be replace by new modified meters to get correct readings of units. 4.proper drainage and sewerage system ;In summer season pasighat market area is flooded by drainage water such problem should be taken care with proper measure.

Pasighat, being a big and crowded city heads high security steps measure of Women, Child's and Old age people and CCTV surveillance is somewhat very necessary within the city for Thievery, Murders and other crimes are increasing. Besides police booths and local broadcasting is needed for the awareness and maintenance of law & order in city.

To meet the growing food requirement of the growing smart city the food producing departments like agriculture,horticulture,veterinary & animal husbandry & fishery departments should be properly funded and promoted.Cold storages should be constructed for storing & preserving the agriculture & horticulture produces & dairy plants to store, preserve & package the milk products for marketing.Well managed markets for sale of meat,fish & vegetables by the municipal council should be constructed .

To make Pasighat an ecotourist hub river sports like whitewater rafting,canoeing,ferry services to the islands of Siang river and Daying Ering wild life sanctuary,angling etc should be promoted.Adventure sports like paragliding, hot air balloon,rock climbing ,trekking etc should be promoted.For the accomodation,lodging & fooding of the tourists good hotels,tourist lodges ,restaurents & haats should be constructed. The public should also be trained & educated in hospitality department.

VISION FOR PASIGHAT SMART CITY The ulitity of water supply electricity and street light of pasighat is improper now. As the smart city, the utility of water supply and electricity must 24x7 to each and every citizen of pasighat. Because, Pasighat is great potential to create the water sanitation for own satisfaction, but it still here the water supply always were irregular. so. for that purpose we must be expand our programme to utilised the water for development of water supply.

In smart city Pasighat the security of the citizens especially the women, children and the elderly should be taken care of.For this smart policing with high tech police booths and CCTV surveillance should be installed.The roads should be provided with street lighting to prevent/minimise crime at night.Enough city police should be there for night patrolling to prevent crime.

VISION FOR THE PASIGHAT AS SMART CITY Street light is great potential to benefits of each and every citizen but in still there is no proper street light in pasighat. As we expand our program to nearly 500,000 lights, technology well enable to help improvement efficiency.

Pasighat has the potential to be the educational hub of north east.Presently the colleges like Horticulture & Forestry college,JNCollege,Agriculture college, Polytechnic college,Ayush college,private BED colleges & Daying Gumin college cater to the educational pursuits of the students.Many more colleges for engineering,veterinary and other technical colleges should also be established.The proposal for AIIMS should also be materialised for the welfare of the citizens of pasighat & Arunachal.
