Please try and look at the bigger picture. 5 years down the line cash transaction must be completely done away with. Don't just look at bigger cash transactions only.

And please do away with 500 and 1000 rupee note. If u only making accountable people who are paying above 1 lakh then are completely missing the big picture. I am on the ground. Which is why I know the ground realities. If one wants to get away without being accountable. He can just make multiple small cash transaction under fake names. And there is no way any one can track them down. And merchant have to listen to customers because they don't want to lose out on so much of revenue...

It's really a amazing proposal, Salaried employee who does not any source of other income if gets a rebate on the service tax and additional tax benefit, will get encouraged. (a) Doctor's visit, most of the doctors (Govt) and private practitioner encourage to have the cash rather than having the electronic transfer
(b) Electronics item purchase
(c) Goods and Garment purchase
In nut shell, any transaction which cross more than 100 Rs should be monitored

Also please look into the Service charge to be paid in case of internet banking when we book the ticket in irctc. Also for income tax rebate please include all the transactions made in internet banking. Also please look into the matter where the merchents are charging 1% or 2% for card transcations.

Very good initiative. Also all government receipts must be in eForm. Businesses must be asked to capture Aadhar/PAN of cash transaction details which may be uploaded to IT in line with TDS return. This data can be made available to assessing officer. In case a payer denies the payment, business house to be charged tax on gross receipt.Cash withdrawal above basic IT limit should be charged tax. Bank account to be linked to Aadhar and generate a cash flow for each aadhar num.

Today hotels receive Lakhs of rupees and customer in order to avoid giving pan details. Ask hotels to make multiple receipts of smaller amount under fake names. It happens every day even in big well known hotels. All transaction above 5000 must be done by debit or credit card. If u are going to make transaction above 100000 mandatory only to be made by card. Then it's not going to work at all.

This is a very good proposal and being welcomed wholeheartedly. However, few small suggestions as below:
1) To bring more services under the scope of e-payment such as LPG, Electric bills and others.
2) Complete removal of convenience fees, other charges and surcharges will encourage ths
3) Setting up of ecorners or e-kiosks to extend the facility to the non-savy community. This may also help in gradually converting them into a tech-savy group.
