My 2 cents... While this is a good idea to move to plastic cards, one needs to care of security features on the Credit Card or debit Card and additionally, we also need to see if the money swiped through Credit cards are also paid by the users or consumers. One can easily get onto just swiping money and not bother to repay. India is a country which has cultural tradition of paying money back to lenders and it is critical to ensure that repayment is also adhered to. All the best!

Very good proposal. At present charges levied by the vendor i.e. LIC charges too much for payment through credit card which discourages to do online transaction. If charges reduced people will automatically make online transaction which will reduce the stress of queue.

This will be a welcome move.Electronic transaction leaves a trail and so easier to audit. So to curb black money there is a need to diminishing the use of heavy cash transaction.

Finally some one is thinking about common man and middle class people. We have been neglected as if we are not existing in this country. The proposal on cashless translations is amazing. Hats of to Arun Jaitly on this unique proposal

Its very goods step.. But i am afraid of the frauds happen with this card holder. Weekly i am getting 2-3 fake calls with intention to use my card details for their benefit. How a small and under educated people can save themself from this cheater sitting in some corner of country and taking away peoples hard earn money. No strict action is taken against this fraudster so when all people have debit card they will also earn more.

very sensible proposal to use electronic cards for all payments and purchases. This will certainly help in controlling black money and rebate tax.

Govt. should go for making following things mandatory 1. Payment through electronic mode/debit card for those having shops and establishment certificate 2. Bus fares /railway fares should be cashless including tickets at reservation counters 3. Withdrawal of cash should be limited to Rs. 50,000/- per month to discourage cash transaction 4. Donation @ temple/church/charity also should be online or by electronic mode and no cash donation beyond Rs. 100/- to be allowed
