Start Date :
Aug 05, 2015
Last Date :

The stage 2 of the Smart City competition is very crucial as each city’s Smart City Proposal (SCP) is supposed to contain the model chosen, whether retrofitting or redevelopment ...
Free tram system should be started within pgi so as to provide patients with better facilities and at least ease their sufferings a bit...
atleast all govt offices should adopt led lighting system to save electricity
in winteres all employees of all rank use room heaters for their comfort, each room heater consumes 1.5-2.0 kwt energy
if centrally heat system is installed with backup of solar energy and ellectric heater lot of energy could be saved
in all govt offices employees use electrical oven to warm up their lunch instead of this method solar cooker must be installed in suitable places in buildings
By creating a corridor 10 to 12 feet wide in between the main roads of city with in the places like:-
*fun republic to pgi *sec 26 transport lights to tribune chownk *zirakpur chownk to kisan bhawan *kisan bhawan to matka chownk
this will help in uninterrepted movenemt of ambulance ,fire tenders , VIP/VVIPS N police patrolling and will help in the disaster management also.
Global Goal No.13 Stop polluting cities by big cars, GPRS Capsule electric trolleys is alternative. https://www.facebook.com/Global-Goal-No13-A-solution-for-City-Pollution-The-Smart-City-147941658897870/
Why to waste fuel on cars for going to office/ back .For a person of say 100 kg , fuel is being used for 1000 kg (900 kg of car and 100 Kg of person) . What a wastage of fuel and it causes more pollution. The alternate is GPRS guided Electric trolley weighing upto 150 kg for a single person.
one important aspect of a smart city is to make it safe. Zig zag and rash driving is a major impediment in road safety. Lapses on this count should be strictly checked by equating these traffic violations equivalent to drunk driving which has been altogether eradicated, thanks to the effort of the Administration. Traffic police further needs to be made mobile and should make surprise checks round the clock to deter the traffic violators as seen in foreign countries.
.There should be proper underground tunnel kind of thing so than for any purpuse like
underground wiring,or leaking of water or any other error fault isolation road should not be dig
6.Proper solid waste management should be there and waste should be used as a biofuel.
he image of Chandigarh is of City beautiful, but for the last so many years due to one or the other reason the clean image of the city is for from our thought especially when we visit the southern sectors. Until we are not capable to maintain the sanitation condition of the city, how we can approach towards smart city status. There are few suggestions in my mind which i am giving here under component wise :
Cleanliness: We must aware the people how to maintain cleanliness. For this the

The main problem in Chandigarh is houses, high rates of property. The solution is vertical growth as the area of chd is limited and there is less spare land.secondly on sake of heritage old govt.buildings and specialy govt. Houses should be reconstructed in verticaly expansion.
In Chandigarh we have some villages such as Badheri, where the conditions are not good because of the people who have rented houses are mostly burgur boys who are not interested in cleanliness. Govt. Should take action against them.
As a student main problem is Bus service, which is not so good. In 2 years I didn't got seat most of the time.
Parking is also an big issue, all cars are parked on the roads. There should be a big parking in every sector where the citizen can park their cars there.
