Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

A postal bearing number 29F 422035 RTINUMBER:14171204/PMR. SIR no action is taken on TRS MLC SWAMY GOUD TELANGANA MANDAL CHAIRMAN.

Kudos to Govt for this good initiative, but I guess it is in its very inception stage. Needs a lots of improvements some of which already been mentioned in the below posts. From my perspective I believe we need to have Andriod/IOS apps for this application. Its hard to be browser based always. Moreover we need to have offline facility for this app so that in case of issues with internet I can have these documents downloaded to my device safely. Thank you.

Aadhar should be assigned to maintain and update the profile of an individual universally. The need arises as : My PAN, Bank Account, EPIC(Voter ID), ration card and Gas connection is linked with Aadhar. If I shift my residence, I am required to update my profile at all the points. i.e. Bank, PAN, EPIC and Aadhar. Updating with Aadhar should be sufficient to update all agencies linked to Aadhar. this can revolutionise eGovernannce.

1. Once published to digital locker; a digital certificate is non-updatable without consent of certificate owner 2. Enrol all sub-registrar to publish land-deals as digital certificate to digital lockers 3. Manage and maintain a digital locker like a bank account for a user

1. Treat digital locker as document publishing and exchange protocol. 2. Digital certificate publication to be made easy with Aadhar and API 3. Certificate sharing and read access to be granted by individual users. Only trusted parties can view it. 4. A public key - private key type authorization protocol for distribution of viewing rights which are non forwardable 5. Viewing rights only through application and not browser based; Viewer needs to have digital locker of its own (companies)

1. Enrol CBSE and all major universities to publish digital certificates. 2. Enable key universities to verify digital educational certificates by accessing digital lockers. 3. Design land ownership certificates using GIS mapping of 1 CM x 1 CM blocks at land; In case of Apartments use a scheme which overlays the mapping on top of it. 4. Demutualize all land docs in digital certificates as collection of land units with identifiable IDs. Any agency can issue digital certificate with Aadhar API

All govt & public related stationary should be footnoted bilingually with digital locker advantage theme for awareness like PAHAL program.

all the govt departments and corporate entities should be advised to insist the beneficiaries to provide digital locker links for issuance of certificate and to obtain documents. This site should be properly secured for sanctity of the documents, so uploaded. Wide publicity should be given thorough various social sites

The idea of digital lockers is excellent.But I feel that many of us are not aware of this facility .In order to bring the real purpose of digital lockers our government need to promote this through social media and advertisements
