Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

Many thanks to our respected PM, Sir, digital locker should have OTP (one time password) system so that it will remain more secure while login.

Reliable way of uploading Important Documents How reliable would it be for the government to provide and validate that a user uploads to this digital locker . The most reliable way would be if the government itself attaches all the important relevent documents to the aadhaar card and make it available to an individual in this digital locker. With this method one thing will be sure that whatever data is available is authenticated and uploaded by the government itself. #DigitalLocker

IN DIGITAL LOCKER LINK ALLTYPE OF LICENCE, PERMITS ,BANK ACCOUNTS, MARK SHEETS,CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS ,PASSPORT,PROPERTY,AGRICALTURE LAND ETC TO AVOID MISUSE OF GOV. SUBSIDY AND TAX BENIFIT. IF DIGITAL LOCKER LINKED WITH AADHAR CARD NO DUPLICATE ID ,PERMIT,PASSPORT ,MARKSHEET ETC CAN BE MADE ONLY GIVE ONE CHANCE TO MAKE ALL ENTRIES OF ALL PERMIT LINCENCES AND OTHER DOCUMENT TO CORRECT NAME,FATHER NAME,DOB,ADDRESS AS PER AADHAR CARD

there was only limited memory to save the documents ,it was the mainly disadvantage of this app .it should be upgrade for some more memory ,hence helps to save the some more important docs.

#DigitalLocker AES256 encryption should be used to secure the important documents, Tape based archiving of important data has to be performed on regular basis to avoid the damage caused by natural calamity.
