The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

Absolutely Agnipath Scheme isn't good idea... mold it and come with smart policy already existed in defence force's.. till now that was only for the Officers.. Named as 'Short Service Commission' Now you provide this for our jawan.. Provide name Short Service Enrollment.. This should be compulsory for 05 years of service..voluntarily extendable up to 10 years of service.. salary same as per existing jawan.. after service benefits same as you are giving to Short Service Commission Officers.. Now come to Maine View of agnipath yojna...That can also be achieved by SSE Yojna. 1. Defence force's average age will automatically reduce. 2. Rationalize Permanent and Short Service Enrollment as per your defance pansion budget and announce recruitment as per requirement. 3. Youth will be with both choice 4. Also make it open for Permanent recruitment if any candidate want to leave force he can leave after 05 years and before 15 years. 5. Pensionable service remains 15 & engagement 20

#National Youth policy... 1.My suggestions are based on knowledge / information flow using digital flat form. 1.Biggest problem for youth is resources and accessibility to carry on their education, then improving their skills in the field in which they are working/Aquire skill for change of carriers, taking breaks and exploring country etc. to achive such objectives..if digital platform is created where they can log in and get what they want ,it helps them immensely. Some of the examples . 1.Education module..where from first standard to degree...subjects to be divided in to small modules and created.so at their own leisure time needy people access it and learn / understand in a better way or learn at a later stage of life / parents learning to teach their children...to be available across India. 2.Sports module:Here details of different sports available generally / for various competitions/ details of sports persons who have achieved glory in the fields, contd2

Generally people does not accept any reforms or change instantly , because the negative mind people start to brainwash the youths and others . Why the youths , who want to make their career in defence sector , do not understand the benefits of the Agniveer scheme. The media , specially Print and social media , should come forward with support of Govt to explain each and every point in details with benefits of the scheme.

The Agnipath schemes is one of best scheme for youths , but Govt need to convince them in right way. The youths must think again with their cool mind , how this scheme will benefit them . They should not follow blindly on the views of opposition leaders , whose objectives are always to oppose good decisions of Govt. The Govt. should always keep both the option open , while some reforms are being implemented. The new one as well as existing one. When the people will see the practical benefits of new reforms. After majority acceptance , the previous one may be phased out. It will be like the option provided in New and old option of Income Tax Returns provision.

AGNIPATH allows patriotic and motivated youth to serve in the Armed Forces for a period of four years. This is a great opportunity for Under privileged youth from poor locality. Agnipath can provide the road to their dreams. Kudos to Modi’s administration. Lower middle class youth is troubled with below circumstances 1. Parents doesn’t have enough money to sponsor college education 2. There is no job or earning with incomplete education 3. Lot of unused time, tension in house, unmotivated friends could lead to crime 4. Frustration could bring depression, no hope & loss of life 5. Hunger, poor health, difficult life Agniveer will be trained for discipline, focus, good health and much more. Those 4 years from age of 18 to 22 would carry big impressions on future life. Few of them can complete the education after exit and shape their career path. If Youth that can afford the education then they should not join Agnipath scheme. Complete the degree and join as officer.
