Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

Sir, The higher denominations of currencies especially the 1000 & 500 should be scrapped from usage. Money is like blood for a nation. It should only pass through veins (cables) and not spill all over as being happened now. So immediately save the blood of the country.

Not a good idea; many people change mobile numbers frequently. Also, when a number is unused for a few months it is allocated to new user. It can be used for communication purposes very efficiently but its quite a tough job to use it as an identity. Additionally, on loosing a mobile due to theft or physical lose, the person may loose the identity along with the personal data.

Mobile number should be linked with aadhar number and also the e-locker that is getting implemented in some time. It would help being a multiple verification as e-locker has in house documents.
