The Logistics Division, DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens' suggestions and comments on the National Transport Master Plan, covering connectivity, travel experience and transport priorities for the next 10 years.

The Logistics Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with MyGov, invites suggestions and comments from citizens for the preparation of the National Transport Master Plan, which will guide the country's road, railway, aviation, maritime and urban connectivity over the next 10 years.

On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan (13 October 2026), this discussion seeks the on-ground experience and ideas of citizens who travel every day, whether for work, study, business or family. The aim is an integrated, multimodal and citizen-centric transport network that makes the movement of people and goods faster, safer and smoother.

Citizens are invited to share views on the following:

      1. First and last mile connectivity: how easily you can reach and leave stations, bus stands, airports and ports.
      2. Amenities and facilities in Railways and Roadways: at railway stations, bus stands, highways and rest areas.
      3. Expected travel time and experience from the National Capital to State Capitals: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      4. Expected travel time and experience from State Capitals to District Headquarters: what is reasonable and what you actually experience.
      5. Preferred mode of travel: Rail, Road or Air, and why.
      6. Local transport, including Metro and buses: availability, reliability, comfort and safety.
      7. Infrastructure priority: whether the Government should prioritise Roads or Railways, and why.
      8. Adherence to traffic laws: your suggestions to improve road discipline and safety.

Last-Mile Connectivity: Improve public transport and all-weather road connectivity in rural villages, remote areas and underserved regions, particularly in Tamil Nadu's rural districts. Green and Sustainable Mobility: Promote electric buses, railway connectivity, cycling tracks, pedestrian-friendly roads and renewable-energy-powered transport infrastructure to reduce pollution and carbon emissions. Digital Integration: Use GIS mapping, real-time traffic data, artificial intelligence and interoperable digital platforms to identify infrastructure gaps, reduce congestion and coordinate transport projects across departments. The government should develop a unified digital transport platform using GIS mapping, real-time traffic data and AI-assisted planning to identify infrastructure gaps, prevent duplication of projects and monitor implementation transparently. Dedicated walking and cycling paths, electric public transport.

I am submitting the attached document with practical suggestions for improving India's transport system over the next ten years. I believe our focus should not only be on building more roads and highways, but also on making everyday travel safer, more reliable and convenient for everyone. Issues such as unsafe highway crossings, poor footpaths, inadequate village road safety, repeated digging of newly repaired roads and unreliable bus connectivity affect ordinary people every day. Better coordination between government departments and stricter implementation of existing safety standards could make a real difference. I request the concerned authorities to consider these suggestions while preparing the National Transport Master Plan 2026–2036, particularly the recommendations on road safety, rural connectivity and first- and last-mile public transport.

India’s National Transport Master Plan should focus on safe, affordable, reliable and integrated journeys. Improve first- and last-mile connectivity through feeder buses linking villages, towns, railway stations and hospitals. Provide clean toilets, drinking water, seating, lighting and accessible facilities at stations, bus terminals and highway rest stops. Publish actual travel times and punctuality data, and coordinate bus and train schedules. Strengthen affordable transport between villages, district headquarters and state capitals. Prioritise railways on busy passenger and freight corridors while maintaining rural roads and bridges. Improve road safety through consistent law enforcement, safer crossings, speed control, helmets, seat belts and faster emergency response. Set measurable targets for travel time, accessibility, safety and complaint resolution, with public progress reports. Design resilient infrastructure for floods and other disruptions. Success should mean that every

Dear Modi Ji, The Indian workforce faces unprecedented economic volatility driven by private-sector automation, market corrections, and cyclical downsizing. The current single-employer dependency framework limits economic mobility, legalizes unregulated overtime, and leaves workers financially vulnerable during sudden terminations. This policy proposes an amendment to India’s labor codes to recognize the Right to Multi-Employment (Parallel Careers), alongside establishing a robust transition safety net for private-sector professionals.

Title: Suggestions for Improving India's National Transport System I suggest that the Government prioritise an integrated, safe, affordable and reliable transport system for the next ten years. 1. Better connectivity: Improve last-mile connectivity between homes, railway stations, bus stands and metro stations through frequent buses, e-rickshaws and safe pedestrian pathways. 2. Better railway facilities: Provide clean toilets, drinking water, seating, clear signboards, lifts and ramps for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. 3. Reduce travel time: Improve railway connectivity between state capitals and district headquarters and introduce reliable, faster public transport services. 4. Improve local transport: Increase the availability and frequency of city buses and improve coordination between buses, railways and metro servic 5. Pay the money take ur paper. एसा INDIA में हो जाए तो सब के लिए काम करा पाना आसान हो जाएगा ।
