With globalization and liberalization of Indian Economy in last two decades, numerous domestic and international companies have been drawn to investing in new modes of business/ business models targeted at the huge domestic market especially in the consumer goods & services. Direct Selling is one of these modes where goods /services are sold directly by the producer/service provider to the consumers. For this different models such as Multi Level/Network marketing, Door to Door Selling, Online Selling, Tele-shopping are being used. These practices are new and different from traditional retail through shops. In the absence of a proper regulatory framework, retail through these models leads to consumer grievances, trader’s issues, slow growth of the sector etc.

The aim of this discussion is to deliberate and evolve views of all stakeholders for providing a regulatory framework to the sector.

Sometime We are feeling helpless as consumer. As I have heard about single tax scheme in India. Similarly single price scheme for every product need to introduce and that should be checked properly under proper guidelines about margins in MRP. No service charge or extra accessories cost should be applied. Everything is only one that is MRP. Proper grievence center should be there for consumer's complaint which will take their nominal fees like 10-20 Rs and help us.

With fastest rise in e-commerce, buyer-consumer needs to be protected online by an e-Ombudsman for immediate relief. Each e-seller portal must have a link to the e-Ombudsman. This will help a lot. ... An e-buyer-consumer facing Returns / Refunds / Service / Warranty Problems.

Dear Sir, I really want to appreciate for your work in making India a digital country. I want to give a small suggestion in this respect. As we are moving towards digital then is it possible to to have ecourt setup in compare to consumer court in order to complaint against wrong doing of any shopkeeper or company without going physically to consumer court.

rasaynik kheti ke upar rok honi chahiye. Jaivik kheti ko badhawa dena chahiye. aaj sikkim jis aur badh raha hai usko purey India ko follow karna chahiye. Organic Kheti ko badhawa dena chahiye. Sikkim ka kisan aaj Organic kheti karke woh mansik aur arthik dono paristhitiyon mein khushal hain. Hame Sikkim se bahut kuch sekhna hai. Aaj Punjab rasaynik kheti kar ke cancer tatha anya bimariyon se pidit hai. Apna ugaya hua anaaj khud khaane se darta hai.

Ours is a huge populated country, where numbers of shop owners earn their meals /breads of of their own shops. In Liberalized Economy, on-line marketing is needed, but, their products may be restricted to numbers and to be categorized.Actually, continuation of direct marketing may reduce scope of employment in our society. So, this may partially be discourages. Sales and marketing through medium may good, if have control of prices over them. This may reduce scope of earnings to local shop owners
