With globalization and liberalization of Indian Economy in last two decades, numerous domestic and international companies have been drawn to investing in new modes of business/ business models targeted at the huge domestic market especially in the consumer goods & services. Direct Selling is one of these modes where goods /services are sold directly by the producer/service provider to the consumers. For this different models such as Multi Level/Network marketing, Door to Door Selling, Online Selling, Tele-shopping are being used. These practices are new and different from traditional retail through shops. In the absence of a proper regulatory framework, retail through these models leads to consumer grievances, trader’s issues, slow growth of the sector etc.

The aim of this discussion is to deliberate and evolve views of all stakeholders for providing a regulatory framework to the sector.

Attention of all and mainly the Energy Ministry of Central State Govt. Electrical Energy is a public utility and hence as per Electricity Act 2003, the distribution of Ele. Energy must be uniform to all consumers irrespective of there status viz. rural, urban metros, agri. commercial & industrial except Defence and other such one. Braking the same is criminal cognizable offence. Still even THIS Govt. claiming high values virtues is cheating the rural people of India. Reply M.No.918149113185.

Dear Sir,
what about raising prices of Dall across India.
Common man interest is at stake.
on one hand you are encouraging people to open bank accounts and make savings a habit. on the other hand people's disposable incomes are eroded by way of rising price of basic necessities. This erodes the propensity to save.

Consumer Protection Act is not effective because the Consumer Forums are not in reach for common man on Location vise or financially. The compensation being awarded is very low and not compensating the actual cost. Some times for an individual value may be lower than the amount to required to be spent. If it is of a large group it will be more. social organisations also proved to be not effective. Consumer should be allowed to make complaint using online network should be disposed through online

Sir,
I work in manufacturing sector and we are more optimistic due to Make in India campaign. However i feel that everyone is capable of participating in this revolution. If we buy only Swadeshi then our industry will get huge boost. Due to pervasiveness of foreign brands in our market, we can't everytime distinguish between local and outside brands. I propose a symbol for Swadeshi products, services, software(like green dot logo on food) that people can see irrespective of language or literacy.

This is regarding the LPG direct to bank account subsidy.
Sir, can you decide a rounded amount to be paid to the delivery boy of LPG cylinder? It will solve the problem of change as well as overcharge of rs 5 to 10 for home delivery of the LPG cylinder.
In many parts of India the delivery boy asks for additional 5/10 rupees as home delivery charges.
