On 15th August every year, the Prime Minister speaks from the ramparts of the Red Fort and lays out the government's programmes and policies. Over the last few years, the Hon’ble Prime Minister has directly invited ideas and suggestions from citizens for the Independence Day Speech. Similarly, this year too the Prime Minister invites citizens to contribute their inputs for New India. So, now you have the opportunity to tell your ideas, give word to your suggestions and crystallize your vision. PM Narendra Modi may pick up some of the ideas in his speech on 15th August.

I suggest a National Employment Mobility Initiative. Roads and railways facilitate the movement of goods; affordable public transport can similarly facilitate the movement of workers to places where jobs are available. Many job seekers and low-income workers cannot accept jobs outside their locality because travel costs make employment less viable. Reducing this barrier could increase employment, household income and economic activity, while helping businesses facing labour shortages. The Government need not make all travel free. It could begin with a pilot Employment Mobility Pass for registered job seekers and low-income workers, covering ordinary government buses, local/suburban trains and other basic public transport. The pilot could measure jobs obtained, income generated, government cost and wider economic benefits. If successful, it could be expanded. Human mobility should be considered economic infrastructure, just as physical connectivity is.

🇮🇳 Viksit Bharat 2047 – Powered by People’s Strength
My dear fellow citizens,
By 2047, India must become a prosperous, strong, self-reliant, clean and united nation. This vision cannot be achieved by the government alone; it needs the active participation and responsibility of every citizen.
Organizations like Lions, Rotary, JCI, Red Cross, NCC and NSS already serve society. Let us strengthen their efforts through structured partnerships with the government. Hospitals, schools, colleges, railway and bus stations, parks, villages and city wards can be adopted by capable organizations for cleanliness, greenery, maintenance, patient support, student welfare and awareness.
This will not reduce government responsibility; it will create a culture of shared development.
Inspired by the NSS spirit, “Not Me But You,” our youth can lead this movement.
Let us move from “What has the government done for me?” to “What can I do for my nation?”
Together, government, citizens, youth and NGOs.

“A nation does not become powerful merely because it is free. It becomes powerful when its people believe that they are capable of shaping their own destiny.”
Independence gave India the right to choose its future. But leadership gives that freedom direction.Today, when India stands before the world with greater confidence, the responsibility is not to remain satisfied with what we have achieved, but to ask: What kind of India are we going to leave for the generation that comes after us?A strong leader does not simply speak about the greatness of a nation. He creates the confidence in its people to believe that greatness is possible. Our freedom fighters gave us a free India. Our generation must give the future a stronger India.
So, this Independence Day, let our patriotism be more than a flag, a slogan, or a celebration. Let it become a commitment—to work harder, think bigger, stand together and build an India that does not seek permission to lead the world.
