Carpet weaving forms an important and integral component of Indian Textile Industry. Indian Carpet export crossed US $ 1 billion during 2013-14 and will touch Rs. 8,000 crore ...
It is a means of livelihood for many and if done at large scale it could earn even foreign exchange by exporting carpets to western countries.
it is one of most beautiful culture of india but needs to be well marketised.
Personalised carpet with customer choice and home delivery.promotion of carpet india as a scheme to increase its prestige.

indian textiles can be promoted if following measures are taken --- (a) removal of layers of middlemen which exist like parasites between producer and consumer, (b) formation of producer self-help groups and cooperatives and their training for direct marketing by e-commerce, to indian and foreign consumers, (c) increase purchasing power of middle class by lessening the income tax burden so that people get disposable incomes (d) all central, state and local approvals should be at one place
Recently i visited Rajasathan jaipur. And i was looking for jaipuri printed and jaipury style cloths in bazars but i didnt know where will i get them. And i spent the whole time in looking for these cloths and ornaments and other jaipury things. so we need to convey to convey the information of these specialities to the tourists in in Railways and Plains heading Jaipur and the Marketing and Advertisement should be done in many ways so that the tourist doent get directionless.
Gov. should launch an online and centralized selling portal for them to promote their product. same as flipkart and amazon is doing.
with this facility market is open for them, and they can supply their product up to the every corner of the country.
A VERY RENOWNED CITY,JAIPUR,hub of carpet industries and had export quality product, recently I visited to lot of industries and got some major issues from employees and employers-1.less recognition and dignity by govt. 2.low salary payment structure 3. no new generation entry from parental 4.heavy physical work 5.equipment problem 6.less income according to labor cost 7. local market very poor #PromotionofCarpetWeaving, #CarpetWeaving, #MinistryofTextiles, #CarpetWeavers, #MyGov
I have been to the tribal area of Arunachal and Himachal and have seen the carpet weaving folk they put everything to make these stuff. The article so made can be purchase by the government/PSU offices for their rest houses, government run hotels etc. This will also enhance its sale and the people engaged will directly be benefited.
