Government of India has constituted an Expenditure Management Commission which will look into various aspects of expenditure reforms to be undertaken by the Government. The Commission is headed by Dr. Bimal Jalan, eminent economist and public policy expert. The Committee has to submit its interim report before the budget of 2015-16 and its final report before the budget of 2016-17.
