Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

The Ministry promotes skill development, vocational training, and entrepreneurship to enhance employability and economic productivity. It aims to bridge the gap between industry requirements and workforce capabilities by creating a skilled and future-ready workforce.

The Ministry formulates national skill policies, implements flagship programmes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, and supports short-term training, apprenticeships, and recognition of prior learning. It works in collaboration with industry, training partners, and State Governments to standardize skill certification and improve training quality.

The Ministry also oversees key institutions such as the National Skill Development Corporation and promotes entrepreneurship development initiatives to encourage self-employment and innovation.
