The tricolor fluttering in the sky in front of our house…. it’s like a daily prayer for us now. The intense patriotic feeling of our father has passed on to the next generation also... My children also will stand at attention when they hear the National Anthem even on the radio. That’s how they were brought up. We hoist the flag every day by strictly adhering to the Flag Codes. It’s every citizen’s duty to honour the National Flag and National Anthem. All should properly follow the Flag Code while hoisting the tricolor. For instance, the flag should always be hoisted briskly and lowered slowly and ceremoniously. There are clear-cut guidelines as to how the flag should be displayed. ----------------------------------------

May I inform you with pride that in our home we have been flying the National Flag for the last 31 years on all the National Days. Now it's HAR DIN TIRANGA dear Prime Minister! for the last seven years here in our home, In fact, my father Shri Thomas Kunjukunju, a retired police officer aged 96 years who had passed away on 19th June, 2025 made it a point to hoist the flag on every Independence Day for the last 31 years. For the last seven years, the National Flag is hoisted in our home daily. Though my father, who started his career as a staffer of the Travancore Police, suffered from age-related ailments, he would face the flag and stand at attention as the National Anthem is played when the flag was hoisted.  Patriotism was an inextricable part of him; the households in the neighbourhood too are influenced by his love for the country. শ্রদ্ধেয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী মহোদয়, ভারতের স্বাধীনতা দিবসের এই শুভক্ষণে দেশের একজন সাধারণ ও সচেতন নাগরিক হিসেবে আমার কিছু আন্তরিক ভাবনা ও পরামর্শ তুলে ধরতে চাই: ১. গুণগত শিক্ষা ও যুবশক্তি: দেশের প্রতিটি প্রান্তের প্রতিটি শিক্ষার্থীর কাছে আধুনিক, মানসম্মত এবং সহজলভ্য শিক্ষা পৌঁছে দেওয়া দরকার। সেই সাথে আমাদের যুবসমাজকে সঠিক কর্মমুখী প্রশিক্ষণ ও সুযোগ দিয়ে স্বাবলম্বী করে তুললে দেশ উন্নতির শিখরে পৌঁছাবে। ২. সবুজ ও দূষণমুক্ত পরিবেশ: আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য একটি সুন্দর পৃথিবী উপহার দিতে আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে পরিবেশবান্ধব অভ্যাস গড়ে তুলতে হবে এবং ব্যাপকভাবে বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি বাড়াতে হবে। ৩. মহিলা ক্ষমতায়ন ও নিরাপত্তা: সমাজের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে নারীদের সুরক্ষা এবং তাঁদের অর্থনৈতিক স্বাধীনতা আরও সুনিশ্চিত করা অত্যন্ত জরুরি, কারণ নারীদের অগ্রগতি ছাড়া দেশের প্রকৃত উন্নয়ন অসম্ভব। একটি শক্তিশালী, উন্নত ও আত্মনির্ভর ভারত গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে আপনার প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে আমরা গর্বিত এবং আপনার সাথে আছি। বন্দে মাতরম! জয় হিন্দ!

My dear respected Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, ON the occasion of our 80th independence day 15th August, I would like to share a small but meaningful idea for the future of our children and our nation. "Every School - A Library :: Every Student - A Book ". Books can become a child's best teacher, guide, friend. However. many government schools, still do not have proper libraries. Therefore I humbly suggest that every school in India should provide a library. My humble request to our PM Modi ji " A library in every school". It is a national mission for the future of India. Every school should have a sufficient space use for library, collection of books, provide regular library period for every class, digital support wherever and whenever possible. My idea for "A STRONGER INDIA - A LIBRARY IN EVERY SCHOOL". thanking you giving this opportunity to share an idea. On Indian independence day(August 15). It must be compulsory for all public transport,all govt. offices and all school/ college to play national song and anthem through out the day (working hour).
