सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) मजबूत सड़कें – समृद्ध भारत की पहचान सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय भारत की प्रगति का वह सशक्त आधार है, जो देश के हर गाँव, शहर और राज्य को विकास की नई राह से जोड़ता है। यह मंत्रालय केवल सड़कें नहीं बनाता, बल्कि लोगों के सपनों, अवसरों और समृद्धि को एक-दूसरे से जोड़ने का कार्य करता है। पिछले वर्षों में मंत्रालय ने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्गों का अभूतपूर्व विस्तार, आधुनिक एक्सप्रेसवे, भव्य पुलों, सुरंगों और ग्रीनफील्ड कॉरिडोर का निर्माण कर भारत की आधारभूत संरचना को नई ऊँचाइयों तक पहुँचाया है। FASTag जैसी डिजिटल टोल व्यवस्था, सड़क सुरक्षा अभियान, ब्लैक स्पॉट सुधार, इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा तथा पर्यावरण-अनुकूल एवं टिकाऊ सड़क निर्माण जैसी पहलें भारत को आधुनिक और सुरक्षित परिवहन व्यवस्था की ओर अग्रसर कर रही हैं सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय का लक्ष्य केवल सड़कें बनाना नहीं, बल्कि विकास की नई दिशाएँ खोलना, आर्थिक प्रगति को गति देना, "हर सड़क विकास की राह, हर राजमार्ग राष्ट्र की प्रगति का प्रतीक।"

Concept Note – SETU: The Bridge to a Better India
Setu is a friendly mascot based on a Bridge which reflects the vision of National Highways Authority of India, through which Setu conveys that NHAI is a partner in achieving sustainable development through smart development of roads and bridges to build infrastructure that meets the current and future needs of the country.
The mascot Setu has a body form of a modern cable stayed bridge, the theme of the mascot indicates the message of NHAI to make highways safe and to develop infrastructure for a developed India as a part of sustainable development, which is being done by NHAI in association with the State Governments and other agencies. The safety helmet and the reflective vests worn by the mascot indicate the care taken by NHAI for the safety of the people using the roads and also for the workers manning the projects.
