Across India, especially in Delhi, we routinely see people riding without helmets, driving on the wrong side, ignoring signals and pedestrians crossing roads wherever convenient. What worries me most is the growing lack of awareness about how devastating a road accident can be. People are constantly rushing to save a few minutes, without realising that one careless decision can change or end a life forever. Perhaps Mann Ki Baat could start a national conversation on making road safety a citizen’s responsibility, not merely a matter of avoiding fines. We need a change in mindset — from “I can get away with it” to “I have a responsibility to protect myself and others.” A simple message can make a difference: No destination is important enough to risk a life reaching it.

Water as a Service (WaaS): A Sustainable Model for India’s Water Security India is facing a growing water challenge. Groundwater levels are declining continuously in many parts of the country, while rainfall patterns are becoming increasingly uneven. Some regions receive excessive rainfall, resulting in large volumes of water flowing away without being adequately captured or stored, while other regions face severe water shortages. This contrasting situation presents an opportunity to rethink how water resources are managed. India could explore the concept of “Water as a Service (WaaS)”, in which water-surplus regions develop adequate infrastructure to capture, store and manage excess rainwater and make a portion of this stored water available to neighbouring water-deficient regions.

This will reduce the workload in the banking system by 30%. It will also avoid fraud transactions and cheque bouncing. Overall, it will reduce corruption in India. Hope the government will implement this soon. 2) Why do Indian banks only perform KYC every year? It's not the case worldwide. We need to stop KYC for all accounts and need to perform it only for specific accounts. This will also reduce unnecessary workload. 3) We need to start precast construction for all residential buildings.
