#MannKiBaat #CeliacWarrior

Hon'ble Prime Minister, I would like to suggest a theme for Mann Ki Baat: recognising the contribution of unaffiliated independent researchers to India's knowledge economy. India has many researchers creating publicly verifiable work outside conventional institutional structures. I have proposed NIRA: A Parallel Policy Framework for Independent Research Capital, exploring how independently produced, verifiable research output may be recognised and encouraged. The framework has been assigned a DOI in Figshare. Separately, on 20 April 2026, I submitted a proposal to Guinness World Records for consideration of a new category, “Unaffiliated Independent Researcher with Most Number of DOIs in a Year,” which is currently under manual review. I hope Mann Ki Baat may encourage discussion on creating pathways to recognise merit, research initiative and knowledge contributions beyond institutional affiliation. Orcid Id: 0009-0007-4971-8936

My proposal, presented in “BEYOND NEET – THE NEW PATH TO MEDICAL EDUCATION IN INDIA” and at www.neetmedicalreform.com, is to replace the single high-stakes NEET gate with a National Medical Competency Pathway (NMCP) based on continuous learning and demonstrated competence. Eligible students would enter a common health-science foundation and progress by passing medical subjects one by one. Every completed subject would become permanent academic credit. Students could continue towards becoming doctors or move into regulated pathways such as nursing, pharmacy, laboratory science, emergency care, public health and allied healthcare. This system can also provide a structural solution to the NEET paper-leak problem.
