Municipal Corporation Jhansi and sponsored Union Bank of India Jhansi has been successfully organize the Smart City Logo Competition on October 31, 2015 in Nagar Nigam Sabhagar Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).

Municipal Commissioner Jhansi Mr. Arun Prakash and Mayor Jhansi Smt Kiran Raju Book Seller has been Inaugurate "VISION CENTER SMART CITY JHANSI" on 20-10-2015 at Municipal Corporation office Jhansi.

Moradabad Nagar Nigam has started preparation of its Smart City Proposal for Stage 2 of the Smart City challenge.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has conducted various Smart City related events over the last 3 months.

A Smart City Idea Challenge was conceived and was promoted by the NMC across the City. A dedicated web-portal www.smartcitynagpur.com was developed and the citizens were encouraged to provide their ideas for making Nagpur a Smart City.

Hon’ble Additional Commissioner, DE Yedukondalu and other Department Executives were present at the meet.

A Press Conference was held by Collector to Make Aware the Citizens about Smart cities initiative and gather support from citizens to build a Smart City Proposal.

We appreciate the efforts of all the participants and thank them for their interest, enthusiasm and keenness in participating in the prestigious National Insignia Design Competition for Indian National Defence University.

On 16th Septeber 2015, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Vanamadi Kondababu, Member of Parliament Sri. Thota Narasimham addressed the Citizens of Kakinada about its selection in 100 Smart Cities and requested them to provide active participation in prepartion of Smart City Proposal.

On 10th October 2015, Hon. Mayor Mr. Alok Sharma hosted the United Doctors Federation and other medical practitioners at the Jehan Numa Palace Hotel. Other dignitaries present at the event were Mr. Surjeet Singh Chauhan (BMC Chairman) and Mr. Chandramauli Shukla (Additional Commissioner of BMC).
