First MyGov Samvaad successfully held on 29th November 2014

“MyGov Samvaad”, a first of its kind event was organized on 29th November 2014, with the Hon’ble Minister for Communications & IT Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad presiding over an interaction with selected contributors to the Digital India Group on MyGov. The Minister also felicitated 20 chosen contributors for their ideas / suggestions / task responses from amongst over 40,000 responses. The contributors came from different walks of life - an engineering student from the National Institute of Technology, a computer operator from the Gram Panchayat of a small village in West Bengal, software engineers, social entrepreneurs and also a few government employees.

A contest to design e-greeting templates for Guru Nanak’s Birthday (Gurpurab) was held on the MyGov platform. Exuberant participation was shown by citizens. As many as 547 attractive creations were received. Out of those creative entries, 17 creations have been shortlisted and 3 winners have been declared. Heartiest congratulation to the winners! A discussion on Digital India with Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Minister of Communications & IT Dear MyGov members, Thank you for your enthusiastic participation on MyGov! Today MyGov has over 6.5 lakh users from India and abroad, actively participating in discussions and tasks on policy matters put by 18 Government Ministries and Departments, as well as participating in contests. MyGov receives on average about 10,000 posts per week, which are analysed and the key findings are shared with the concerned departments for further analysis and incorporation in their action agenda.

A contest was organised on MyGov to suggest a title and tagline for the proposed scheme National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC). 879 entries were received for the contest, out of which 20 entries were shortlisted for consideration by the Ministry of Social Justiceand Empowerment. The entry of Shri Balaji DK, Koratagere, Karnataka for the Title of the scheme i.e. “Safai Udhyami Yojana” and the entry of Shri Ankur Srivastava, Allahabad U.P. i.e. “Swachhta se Sampannta ki oor” for the Tagline were declared as winners and awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- each.

Heartiest Congratulations to the contest winner of logo for National Digital Literacy Mission!

People’s participation in designing a suitable Logo, Banner and Slogan was sought for National Digital Literacy Mission through MyGov Platform. More than 2, 600 responses were received under the competition. During the Empowered Committee meeting, the winner of the Logo design was chosen. The name of the logo winner is: Shri Anant Khasbardar from Maharashtra Congratulations to the winner!

Overwhelming response in competition for Design of Logo of Sardar Patel National Mission on Urban Housing

Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation had invited entries for design of logo of Sardar Patel National Mission on Urban Housing. The last date for sending in entries was 24th October 2014. The response from citizens has been very encouraging. The Ministry thanks those who participated in the competition. The Ministry is in the process of finalising the scheme and is also engaged in short listing the entries. Once the scheme is finalised, the results will be declared.

Enthusiastic response in Competition for Design of Logo, Name with Tagline for Programme and Projects of the Department of Land Resources

The Department of Land Resources had invited designs for logos, name with tagline for various programs of the Department viz. the Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP), the World Bank Assisted National Watershed Management Project ‘Neeranchal’ and the National Land Records Modernization Programme (NRLMP). The last date for sending in entries was 10th October 2014. The response from the citizens has been very enthusiastic and more than 2500 entries have been received. Many entries are highly creative with a high level of design and art work. Many entries are imaginatively capturing the essence of these programs. The Department thanks everyone who took out time to actively participate in the competition. We are the process of shortlisting the entries and results will be declared shortly. Brainstorming Ideas on Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana through MyGov

The Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana Group on MyGov invited inputs from citizens for essential facilities under the scheme. Citizens have brainstormed and presented innovative ideas based on rural culture and population such as promotion of regional arts, taking the PPP route for building homes with the help of local architects etc. Emphasis is also laid on strengthening the Common Service Centre (CSC) network in villages.
