Creative responses received for the National Digital Literacy Mission Contest

The MyGov platform introduced an innovative contest for the National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM). Citizens were called on to come up with ideas on logos, slogans and banner for the initiative. More than 1600 entries were received thereby consolidating the mission targeted at 10 lakh persons. The Mission aims to provide ICT training to one in every eligible household in selected Blocks in each State/UTW. The creative corner contest on MyGov concluded on 15 September, 2014. Inviting citizens to join contests on the proposed scheme of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation The Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation has set up a scheme to reach out to the poorest of the poor. The proposed scheme is designed under the envisioned philosophy of ‘Antyodaya’ by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Aim of the proposed scheme: To expand the scope of present National Urban Livelihoods Mission, offer concessional loans for micro enterprises, skill training and mobilization of women, improve infrastructure of street vendors and provide shelters for homeless. The mission starts on 25th September 2014, the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Contests: Citizens are invited to give in a name, logo and a tagline for the mission and win prizes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi The MyGov Creative Corner hosted a contest for Teachers’ Day E-Greetings organised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Citizens enthusiastically participated in the contest and honoured their teachers by designing E-greetings. The winners of the contest are declared and are as below:

The programme to transform India into a knowledge economy and digitally empowered society now moves a step ahead with thousands of citizens participating in the contest to design a logo for Digital India. The contest received an overwhelming response with more than 7000 entries striving to portray the vision of Digital India which is centred on three key areas, namely providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. The results of the contest will be announced shortly. Although the deadline for new submissions is closed, citizens are invited to vote for various designs till 7th September midnight. Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitates winners of MyGov contest for Financial Inclusion Programme

On the evening of 28th August 2014, Hon. Prime Minister felicitated winners of MyGov contest for Financial Inclusion Programme at the launch of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana. Ms. Priya Sharma, based on whose entry the logo was finalised, has been rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. The other participants who have been rewarded are Shri Sanjay Tiwari, Ms. Sonia Chauhan and ShriAjithGurunathan. These participants who proposed “Jan Dhan” received other half of the prize rounded up to Rs. 10,000 each. Shri Narendra Modi heartily congratulated each of these participants for their artistic talent and creativity in giving an identity to a ground-breaking reform for financial inclusion.

The citizen engagement platform, MyGov marked the celebrations of the 68th Independence Day of our country by inviting citizens to design e-greetings. The Creative Corner witnessed the enthusiastic participation of thousands of people designing wonderful e-greetings on the occasion. PM Modi has often time and again laid emphasis on using technology to overcome issues ranging from farming to governance. The Digital India Group on MyGov is a significant step towards that goal. It's one of the fastest growing groups on the MyGov site with 37,590 members and is open to members who preferences are Digital Technologies which include Cloud Computing and Mobile Applications. The aim of the group is to "Come out with innovative ideas and practical solutions to realise Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a digital India." All you have to do to get started is to register on the site, pick a group of your liking and choose a task listed on the group!

All of us dream of Green and Pollution free India. The wish has got the support of our government now that MyGov site MyGov.nic.in has the ‘Green India’ group. Since its launch barely a week back the group has seen more than 48,000 members. The members hold discussion on two topics – Through sound and innovative policies, how can we achieve both development and a clean environment? Can only Government mitigate the menace of climate change or is public participation the way ahead?

Girl child education is a field that finds top priority in the Narendra Modi led Government's agenda and is quite close to the PM's heart. Improving the current literacy rates requires serious effort and what better way to get started than initiate discourse and take feedback from the people of the country itself! With an aim to study the discussions and ideas to improve girl child education in the country, whether it be facilities or economic assistance, the 'Girl child Education' group on MyGov provides the platform for the necessary debate. The objective of this Group is to prepare a policy framework and gather suggestions that can help increase education among girl students and give them livelihood opportunities.
