Launched in 2015, Skill India Mission under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has benefitted more than 1 crore people annually, paving the way for India to become the Skill Capital of the world. Its three most significant interventions; Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme and Industrial Training Institutes has transformed the skilling ecosystem and helped millions secure a better livelihood.

Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) had conducted the ‘SRIJAN’ contest under the aegis of Indian Railways for implementing low-cost-high-impact ideas on its station redevelopment projects, the logo design and punchline creation contest. All three were crowdsourced through the MyGov portal.

The success of a nation always depends on the success of its youth and it is the Skill India programme that can evolve a skilled nation. Skill India Mission, launched on July 15, 2015 was envisioned by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to empower the youth of our country with specific skill sets, making them employable and productive in their work environment.

Orang National Park, located in the districts of Darrang and Sonitpur, is very popular among tourists for its rich flora and fauna. The Cell for IPR Promotion and Management under the aegis of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, launched the Logo Design and Slogan/ Tagline Contests for Geographical Indications of India (GI) between 18th October, 2017 to 1st December 2017, in collaboration with mygov.in platform.

A contest to Design a logo from National sports University, Manipur was hosted on MyGov on 23rd April, 2018. Entries received from in response to contest have been assets in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. In this regard, we appreciate the efforts of all the participants and thank them for their overwhelming interest, enthusiasm and keenness in participating in the above contest.

Every day at the crack of dawn, a flower market comes to life at a narrow street of Fancy Bazaar in Guwahati. Flowers brought from various parts of the state are bought and sold here and a big chunk of this are brought from Hajo.

The tinkling sound of thousands of bells make up for the ambience of the Tilinga Mandir, situated at Bordubi, at about 7 km away from Tinsukia town. It is in the land of Assam that has given birth to eminent persons making a mark in the field of literature and culture. A rich culture of performing art presides in the state and prominent film makers have come up with masterpieces which have fetched national level accolades.
