E transaction sgould not be seen only as card based payments at PoS. It could also be neft or rtgs from a computer or a bank branch enabling people who dont use internet to send money online. even something like instant money order could be of use. Cash payments in big purchases like jewellery, 2 or 4 wheelers, real estate purchase payments could be disincentivised by opting for a nominal surcharge. Payments at all govt portals like registration department could be made mandatorily cashless

End to End Computerisation is very much lacking in India. Emphasis be given in this area. Many of the MMPs are not working in spirit. Priorotising MMPs implementation in select sectors instead of identifying large number of MMPs would be better with regular monitoring.

This would be a great initiative and definitely help in curbing black money. Government must give tax benefits to merchants & consumer who support & promote electronic transactions through credit and debit card. This proposal must be implemented as soon as possible.

Corruption is deep routed especially in govt depts. So 1st make everything online esp in the govt depts. To buy homes people pay bribes either the builder or the customer.Traders don't file taxesm Professionals like doctors n lawyers don't file actual incomes. Make everything online. A hospital in chembur Mumbai doesn't accept credit or debit cards only cash. Parallel economy is thriving. Bring this all into banking system and there'll be ample liquidity.
