The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens across India to share their constructive suggestions and innovative ideas through the initiative "Have an Idea? Share it with ICAI".
This initiative provides a platform for citizens, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to contribute their valuable ideas for strengthening the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Chartered Accountancy profession, and India's financial and economic ecosystem.
Participants are encouraged to submit their suggestions on areas such as strengthening the Chartered Accountancy profession, promoting economic development, enhancing transparency and good governance, leveraging technology and innovation, improving financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage meaningful public participation and harness diverse perspectives to help build a stronger, more transparent, innovative, and future-ready Chartered Accountancy profession while contributing to an inclusive, resilient, and sustainable financial ecosystem for the nation.

Hi, I am a student at intermediate level of CA examination and simultaneously doing llb, so my idea, comes from comparing different academic curriculum, that ICAI could add branch level physical coaching facilities so that the student would not feel so isolated while preparing for the examination and remain in touch with the course .
Also, with that, I would suggest, the ICAI can regularly organise speech, competition or other form of competitions at branch level, so that student will learn industry ready skills and also have a competitive urge to participate, while earning some certificates for there CV . Although the virtual learning and virtual interactive session are organised by ICAI frequently but for human social connection, physical events are necessary and they will result in highly motivating the students. And if both the ideas could simultaneously be implemented, the problem of isolate study will be resolve, improving the mental health of the students .

I am a Chartered Accountant with 2 decades of corporate experience. I wanted to bring to the notice of the FM one idea to increase the tax base and reduce the black money menace. Include agricultural income under the tax bracket and ensure that all the high earning agriculturist also pay the tax. We may give some standard deduction to exclude the genuine farmers with low income and to reduce the compliance burden. This would ensure that high value agricultural income also taxed and the high-income people cannot park the income under agriculture anymore. This will help to increase tax base and reduce black money.
In addition, please introduce the priority government services to the actual people paying tax to Government since there is no benefit for the taxpayer directly and only 3% of the population only pays tax and not receiving any priority/privileges.

I have registered with MY Bharat and also doing quiz competition. It's really great for the youth. I think every youth should register in MY Bharat and give some time to the country. I think every school should have awareness training like NCC to create patriotism and love for the country. And so that the youth of the country can be used for the protection of the country and so that they can be involved in providing the protection of the country, if the online classes of competitive exams like NDA, UPSE were conducted, then the youth of the common family could have come forward for the country. And since our country needs to be more digital to make viksit Bharat, then digital India will be possible only when the youth of the country is more digital. So if the classes like Ai class and cyber security class are given to the youth as online classes, it would be very good for the youth.

As a student preparing for the Chartered Accountancy profession, I feel that the future of finance will not be built by professional knowledge alone, but by connecting knowledge, technology, practical skills and entrepreneurship.
ICAI already represents a strong professional ecosystem. I believe this ecosystem can become even more accessible to students, young entrepreneurs and small businesses through practical learning, mentorship, responsible AI and innovation.My suggestion is not to replace the role of Chartered Accountants with technology, but to use technology to expand the reach and impact of professional expertise.If students learn finance through real business situations, entrepreneurs receive better financial awareness, and technology is used responsibly under professional guidance, the impact can go beyond the CA profession and contribute to a stronger financial ecosystem for India.

जब मेरे एक करीबी परिचित ने अपना छोटा किराना और सप्लायर व्यवसाय शुरू किया, तो उन्हें जीएसटी पंजीकरण, बहीखाता संधारण और आयकर नियमों की जटिलताओं को समझने में भारी दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ा। जानकारी के अभाव और पेशेवर मार्गदर्शन न मिल पाने के कारण मामूली रिटर्न फाइलिंग की देरी पर भी भारी पेनल्टी लग गई, जिससे एक नए उद्यमी का हौसला पूरी तरह टूट गया। इस अनुभव ने मुझे सिखाया कि टियर-2, टियर-3 शहरों और ग्रामीण कस्बों के छोटे व्यापारियों और युवाओं के पास उद्यम शुरू करने का जज्बा तो है, लेकिन बुनियादी वित्तीय व कानूनी नियमों (Financial & Tax Literacy) की समझ बेहद सीमित है।
ICAI को मेरा सुझाव है कि वे देश भर में स्थानीय स्तर पर 'प्राइमरी फाइनेंशियल क्लीनिक' या ब्लॉक स्तर पर मुफ्त हेल्पडेस्क शुरू करें, जहाँ सीए इंटर्न्स और युवा चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट्स सूक्ष्म और छोटे उद्यमियों (MSMEs) को व्यावहारिक सहायता, आसान भाषा में अनुपालन मार्गदर्शन और वित्तीय साक्षरता प्रदान करें। इससे नए प्रोफेशनल्स को फील्ड का व्यावहारिक अनुभव मिलेगा और देश के जमीनी स्तर के व्यापारियों को अनावश्यक पेनल्टी और शोषण से सुरक्षा

ICAI Student Innovation Lab – From ideas to impact
ICAI could create a dedicated “Student Innovation Lab” where CA students can come up with ideas to solve real-world problems in accounting, taxation, auditing, financial literacy, MSME finance and related areas and present it for consideration.
The lab could operate on an “Idea to Impact” model – wherein students can present their ideas, the best ideas could be shortlisted and mentored by ICAI members and industry experts, and the most promising ideas could get an opportunity to prototype or pilot.
This will provide students with an avenue to showcase their innovative ideas, as well as build skills like problem-solving, research and entrepreneurial mindset, amongst others. It will also help ICAI with identifying solutions which are emerging from the CA student ecosystem.
The objective would be to enable CA students to not only understand problems, but enable them to become innovators who can solve problems.

Yeah, I am Shivshankar, studying in CA Inter from three years. Before joining CA, I have no idea, zero knowledge about how should I live my life. When I completed my twelfth, I scored 100% in my tenth standard, and I scored 95% in my eleventh and twelfth standard. Because of that, it increases my ego and my, what I say that, my alter ego to the next level. When I did foundation, I cleared it in first attempt. It takes, it taken my ego to the next level, next and next level. So I started thinking that in this world, I am the intelligent fellow. No one can be intelligent than me.
