CIBIL SCORE AND CREDITWORTHINESS OF AN INDIVIDUAL - This system needs a reassessment for sure. Businesses in India often faces challenges and a one time circumstantial default often ruins and closes the door for a MSME to raise fund in future. Moreover, Transunion cibil only relies on lender feedbacks. In countries like China, Govt and banks supports the businesses to the units with unintentional default. Every MSME deserves a second opportunity but in our country, if a customer has defaulted once even 15 years back, banks and financial institutions dont support such units inspite of having a clean track record thereafter. Of course, every system has pros and cons, but I strongly suggest to assess the existing lending system. Schemes are often on paper and on ground level stories are quite different. THIS SAY IS FROM A PRACTICING CA HAVING EXPERTISE IN MSME FUNDING WHO HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE EVERYDAY. STEP INTO THE SHOES OF A MSME ATLEAST ONCE AND VISUALIZE THE SYSTEM
